National supplier to the construction, agricultural and food processing sectors, our client is a large manufacturing site based in Templecombe in Somerset (near Yeovil). The business has a long heritage with a key customer portfolio covering the UK.

Your new role

My client is looking for a HR Advisor to work at the Somerset site and be the point of contact for all HR functions. You will have the support of the head of HR and the rest of the HR team on sites across the UK, working collaboratively together.

The role is based on-site due to the nature of the industry, and you will be expected to work within a shift pattern (these operate through the day with an early, standard and later day). The shift days can be selected by the successful applicant but are there to ensure HR cover is available when needed.

You will be leading and providing admin support to the HR department, ensuring all records and policies are adhered to.
– Taking the lead on all people-related matters as well as leading on some case loads
- Reviewing and updating job specifications
Advising and supporting key stakeholders
Updating all HR policies when required
- Assisting and delivering key initiatives and training
- Assist with employee relations and performance management issues, giving advice when required.

Candidates applying should have experience in the manufacturing/construction/engineering sectors, accurate admin and attention to detail and be very personable, as this is very much a hands-on face-to-face role.
