SEMH Teaching Assistant – Secondary School
Start Date: Immediate start
Contract: Short‑term
Location: Birmingham

We are recruiting on behalf of a supportive and inclusive secondary school in the Kings Heath area who are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team on a short‑term basis. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs and helping them access learning in a positive, structured environment.

The Role
  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for students with SEMH needs
  • Assist in managing behaviour and promoting emotional regulation
  • Work closely with teaching staff and the pastoral team
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
  • Support students both in and out of the classroom
