Job Opportunity: Intervention Teaching Assistant – Preston

We are seeking a dedicated Intervention Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Preston. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, and committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
Your new role
- Deliver targeted intervention sessions in literacy, numeracy, and/or social-emotional development. 
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to identify pupils needing additional support. 
- Track and report progress of intervention groups. 
- Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups, adapting strategies to meet individual needs. 
- Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment. 
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (school, tutoring, youth work etc.). 
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
- Ability to build rapport with pupils and staff. 
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning. 
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, HLTA, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
