Your new role
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students with a range of special educational needs (SEN) including autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs
- Assist the class teacher with delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Provide 1:1 or small group support tailored to individual student needs
- Help manage behaviour in line with the school’s policies
- Promote a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Understanding of additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or complex needs
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and reliability for supply work
- A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
