The Role:
As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, or within the classroom
- Assist teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2
- Help deliver engaging lessons, including phonics, literacy and numeracy
- Support pupils with additional needs (SEND, SEMH or EAL where required)
- Promote a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with class teachers and other support staff
We are recruiting Teaching Assistants to work across:
- EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)
- Key Stage 1 (Years 1–2)
- Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6)
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience working with primary-aged children (school or childcare setting)
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
- A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A current DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
