Job Title:Food Technology Teacher
Location:North Birmingham
Salary:£120 - £230 per day (Dependent on experience)
Contract Type:Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Start Date:Immediately

Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher
to join their welcoming team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will inspire students to develop essential life skills, a love for cooking, and an understanding of nutrition and food science.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and effective Food Technology lessons.
  • Teach practical cooking skills and theoretical knowledge in food preparation, hygiene, and nutrition.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive learning environment, especially in practical settings.
  • Manage classroom behaviour to ensure a productive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement engaging schemes of work.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in food preparation, nutrition, and health & safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
