Contracts Manager job for an established Fit-Out contractor based in the Manchester region

Your new company

This contractor are fit-out experts and are based in the Manchester area. They have been established for over 20 years and have posted year-on-year growth and gained a consistent high quality client based with an excellent reputation. The majority of their work is focussed around commercial interior Fit-Out, but they do also undertake general construction and industrial, education and retail projects on.


They turn over £7m and tend to work on JCT Fit-Out / Building Contracts with a long-standing client base and have a very strong financial position. They have a strong pipeline of work for 2024/25 and 26!

They focus on absolute quality of delivery, and also work closely with their clients to provide space planning, interior design and project management solutions.

Your new role

You will be responsible for numerous schemes at any one time, taking each scheme from conception to post-completion with no snags.


Day to day you will manage contracts from inception to completion, ensuring that the agreed program, profit and quality are delivered, as well as providing a project plan and program of work that relates to the CSA and design, appoint subcontractors to carry out works and authorise payments to the company's terms and conditions.

You will also manage subcontract staff, attend weekly site meetings with clients and present valuations, contractor's reports and also assist in developing new business opportunities alongside the Directors.

What you'll need to succeed

You must have a strong professional background in the commercial interior fit out sector, with experience of managing staff, subcontractors, and client relationships as part of a team together with both office and site-based staff.

You must be able to present a CV which details the above, working within the UK and to UK specifications.
You must have a fit-out background and ideally long service with previous employers.
