The business is known for structured planning, strong governance, and a continuous improvement culture. This temporary role has been created to cover a leave of absence and offers the opportunity to contribute to a critical operational function within a high-performing environment.

Your new role
As a Supply Chain Planner, you will take ownership of a defined segment of the supply chain, managing supplier performance and ensuring supply continuity across a global network.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing performance across a complex base of global suppliers, maintaining regular communication and working closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Managing supply and demand to achieve customer service levels and inventory targets.
  • Owning daily operational planning processes for a critical part of the supply chain.
  • Identifying and eliminating potential supply chain risks as part of day‑to‑day planning activity.
  • Promoting preventive planning practices to reduce expediting and escalation.
  • Leading cross-functional stakeholders to deliver short and mid-term tactical improvements using Six Sigma methodologies.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) based in Leeds, operating on a hybrid model with a minimum of three days per week on site. The initial assignment length is 12 months.

What you'll need to succeed
You will bring strong analytical capability, a structured planning approach, and the confidence to work across a complex supply network.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Practical experience within supply chain planning.
  • Proven experience of supplier performance management, including escalation and driving continuous improvement activity with suppliers.
  • A clear understanding of trade-offs, total cost of ownership, network exception management, and inbound materials tracking.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with data teams to identify key planning parameters and optimise outcomes.
  • Experience delivering both individual and team results within a networked supply chain environment.

What you'll get in return
  • A competitive rate of up to £23.08 per hour
  • A 12‑month temporary assignment within a structured, global supply chain environment.
  • Hybrid working, balancing operational exposure with flexibility.
  • The opportunity to manage a critical supply chain segment with genuine operational impact.
  • Exposure to cross-functional leadership and Six Sigma-driven improvement work.
