This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading player in the manufacturing and energy sector, with operations across the UK and Europe. Known for innovation and a strong focus on sustainability, the company is recruiting a Supply Chain Planner within its UK-based supply chain team to support their busy site near Ellesmere Port. This is a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same – perfect for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working with multiple stakeholders.
Your new role
As Supply Chain Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring raw materials, chemicals, and finished products flow smoothly through the supply chain. Working closely with operations, logistics, and trade teams, you’ll manage scheduling, monitor stock levels, and respond quickly to any issues or changes in supply or demand.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Scheduling raw materials, chemicals, and sales orders based on the master production plan. Most of the planning is done manually via MS Excel.
- Aligning planning with operations teams and flagging any short-term constraints or optimisation opportunities.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, and transport companies to coordinate deliveries and collections.
- Administering orders within ERP systems and maintaining accurate planning documentation.
- Supporting continuous improvement and cross-site collaboration with UK and European planning teams.
- This role involves occasional travel between the company's two main sites, both within Ellesmere Port.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous supply chain planning experience, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment. Backgrounds in production planning or demand planning will also be considered.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Good numerical and administration skills.
- Good MS Excel knowledge and experience using ERP systems (Oracle desirable – training will be provided).
- A proactive, independent approach with the ability to multitask and manage priorities.
- A sense of responsibility and confidence when dealing with multiple stakeholders.
What you'll get in return
- £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
- 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
- Bonus scheme up to 10%
- Hybrid working with 3 days on site, 2 days working from home
- Flexible working hours
- Enhanced pension contribution of 8%
- Medicash healthcare plan
- On-site car parking
- Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development
