Supply Chain Manager
Your new company
A long‑established manufacturer is investing in strengthening its end‑to‑end supply chain capability, and this role sits at the centre of that ambition. The organisation produces a varied product range for UK and international customers and operates in a fast‑moving, quality‑driven environment. With a culture that actively encourages continuous improvement, cross‑functional teamwork and local decision‑making, it offers an excellent platform for an experienced supply chain professional ready to step into a key leadership post.
Your new role
As Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all planning, customer operations and production‑readiness activities at site level. You will oversee the teams handling customer order flow, master data, bill‑of‑materials accuracy, artwork preparation and factory scheduling. Your remit is to ensure that customer demand is interpreted correctly and converted into efficient, achievable production plans. You will work closely with commercial teams, manufacturing and technical functions to ensure information accuracy, alignment on priorities and strong operational discipline.
Key elements of the role include:
- Managing customer operations and order‑handling processes
- Setting standards for ERP data quality and overseeing item setup
- Ensuring BOMs and routings are accurate and well‑maintained
- Leading scheduling, capacity planning and the S&OP cycle
- Translating forecasts into realistic production plans
- Establishing KPIs to drive performance and visibility
- Promoting lean working practices and leading process improvements
This role is central to the smooth running of the factory and carries significant influence across both operational and commercial teams.
What you’ll need to succeed
We’re looking for someone who can combine technical supply chain knowledge with confident leadership and a mindset focused on accuracy and improvement. You will bring:
- At least five years’ experience in planning, supply chain or factory coordination within a manufacturing setting
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems and master data processes
- A track record of reliable production planning and scheduling
- Excellent analytical skills with a structured, metric‑driven approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments
- Enthusiasm for modernising processes and embedding continuous improvement
You will thrive if you enjoy balancing detail with strategic thinking and shaping how a site operates day‑to‑day.
What you’ll get in return
- The chance to join a business with clear ambitions for growth and operational excellence
- A role that offers autonomy, visibility and the opportunity to make a real difference
- A supportive environment with colleagues who value collaboration and innovation
- Opportunities to develop professionally within a global‑minded organisation
- A competitive salary and benefits package
