Your new role

Our client is recruiting a Mechanical Transport Supervisor to provide leadership, ensuring consistent application of the department standards and processes with the goal of maintaining KPI standards.

You will be a line manager for the on-site driver team ensuring all aspects of their people management, e.g. performance reviews, training, HR processes and safety are being effectively managed. You will also be responsible for fleet/hire vehicle management, equipment allocations and to drive various types of vehicles to safely and effectively transport passengers.

What you'll need to succeed

• We are seeking candidates from a military background (preferably military transport).

• 5+ years of experience in a transport office with solid knowledge of transport compliance and regulatory requirements

• A full UK Driving Licence (no points or convictions) is essential and a willingness to participate in training for PSV or HGV licences.

• NEBOSH / IOSH qualifications are desirable as are experience using a tachograph, experience driving mini-buses and an in-date Driver Qualification and Driver Card.
