Due to continued growth, this niche engineering company are looking to appoint a Principle Civil/Structural Engineer to join their established engineering team based in Northampton

Your new role

You will support the engineering management team with projects including resource planning and programming, design review and ensuring agreed deliverables are completed. You will prepare conceptual and detailed design of construction methods and temporary structures in steel to eurocode standards, review structures using computer programs STAAD pro and LUSAS. As the principle engineer, you will mentor and review the work completed by Engineers and CAD technicians ensuring work meets requirements of company management systems (ISO9001, ISO45001 and ISO14001).

Working closely with clients on technical documentation support, including project statements, designers risk assessments and method statements, you will produce tender designs and estimates whilst being fully engaged in projects.

What you'll need to succeed

As a chartered engineer, you will have considerable experience in analysis and design of structures, particularly steel, experience of technical team leadership and management, temporary works and construction engineering knowledge and in experience in the use of Eurocodes for design.
