MFL Teacher (Spanish & French) – KS3 & KS4

September Start – December (Temporary Cover)
We are currently recruiting for a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher specialising in Spanish and French to join a welcoming secondary school in Wigan. This is a temporary position covering from September through to December, ideal for an enthusiastic teacher looking for a short-term opportunity.
Your new role
You will be responsible for teaching Spanish and French across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum. The role will involve:
- Planning and delivering high-quality MFL lessons
- Inspiring students to develop confidence in speaking, reading, and writing languages
- Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Contributing positively to the wider department and school environment
The ideal candidate:
- Holds QTS (or equivalent) and has experience teaching MFL at KS3 and KS4
- Specialises in Spanish and French
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for languages
- Is confident in managing behaviour and engaging in mixed-ability classes
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
