Science Teacher – Secondary Teaching in the Wigan area

Your new role

  • Join a high-achieving welcoming Science department, responsible for the delivery of high-quality, engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring all students are engaged and supported to reach their full potential.
  • Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and raise achievement.
  • Contribute to the collaborative development of the Science curriculum, as well as marking and assessing all work ensuring students are achieving their full potential.
  • Support the wider school through enrichment and pastoral care.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high standards.
  • Someone who can build positive relationships and fosters a supportive classroom environment as well as classroom behavioural management.
  • Flexible, resilient and a commitment to raising achievement.
  • The right to work in the UK with an enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one.
