• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of council buildings and facilities
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Manage service contracts and coordinate repairs and maintenance work
• Support office moves, space planning, and building access arrangements
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and maintenance schedules
• Respond to facilities-related queries and issues from staff and service users
• Assist in emergency planning and building security procedures

• Experience in facilities management or a similar role
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and building compliance
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage contractors and monitor service delivery
• A relevant qualification (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH, or FM certification) is desirable
