Legal 500 Band 1 Construction & Engineering team with a contentious construction solicitor role.

An opportunity has arisen in a Legal 500 Band 1 Construction & Engineering team which will require the successful application to work on high-profile projects across the UK and internationally.

My client is looking for a strong litigation solicitor with experience of handling a wide range of construction-focused disputes. More specifically, applicants can expect to progress and manage High Court litigation, adjudication, and arbitration matters. Candidates will need to be extremely well focused on delivering excellent levels of client service through detailed and strategic advice on dispute avoidance and resolution.

Although my client will be particularly interested in candidates who can already show previous experience with construction/engineering work, any applicants who can demonstrate a clear enthusiasm and interest in getting involved in such work may be considered depending on the particular skills that such applicants can bring in terms of commercial dispute resolution.

This role sits within an international law firm and the team as a whole has over 30 dedicated specialists across the North of England (this opportunity, however, is solely for their Newcastle office). However, if you are already an established construction/engineering solicitor and would be interested in speaking about any opportunities that might be available in my client’s Leeds office, then do please consider making an application (however, any such applicants must have at least 3 years' post-qualifying experience working in established construction law teams).

For further information about this opportunity, please contact Samuel Higgins at Hays Legal (0113 200 3717 / Samuel.Higgins@hays.com).
