Litigation Solicitor - Newcastle, ideal if looking for a challenge with strong Civil Procedure Rules skills

One of the leading legal firms in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join a busy and highly regarded Social Housing team. If you are a solicitor with between 1–4 years’ post-qualification experience and can demonstrate a strong understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and handling important and high-value litigation, this would be an excellent role for you if you are looking for a new challenge / something different to an everyday litigation role.

Applicants will be expected to be responsible for a caseload of social housing litigation work, encompassing all elements of pre- and post-litigation as and when required. It is important that applicants be comfortable with the prospect of assisting junior paralegals in handling pre-action disrepair claims, hence why this role would be an ideal fit for an experienced litigator looking for a new challenge. Although candidates with strong disrepair experience would be ideal, it is not an essential requirement for my client and, therefore, litigators from various backgrounds should consider applying provided that you can demonstrate a clear and strong interest in social housing litigation work.

This role is hybrid. My client will expect office attendance three days a week with the remaining two being remote-working days if desired. Only applicants that are within commutable distance of my client’s Newcastle city centre office will be considered given the hybrid working requirement – therefore applicants based in the North East region will be of particular interest to my client.
