A market‑leading Tier 1 contractor with a long‑standing presence across Scotland, this organisation is recognised for delivering major flagship projects across commercial, education, healthcare and public‑sector frameworks. With a strong pipeline of upcoming work, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Planner to join their Glasgow pre‑construction team.
You’ll be joining a forward‑thinking business that champions collaboration, innovation and professional development.

Your New Role

As Senior Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the pre‑construction and bid function, contributing to the successful conversion of major building projects.
Working closely with estimating, design, project leadership and the wider bid team, you will:

  • Develop high‑quality, competitive tender programmes
  • Produce clear methodologies, phasing strategies and logistics planning
  • Identify programme risks, constraints and opportunities at pre‑construction stage
  • Support bid submissions and attend tender presentations
  • Ensure planning outputs align with internal governance and client requirements
  • Use industry‑standard planning software to generate accurate, well‑structured programmes
This is a strategic role that will place you at the forefront of early‑stage project development within a high‑performing team.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

You will bring:
  • Proven experience as a Planner or Senior Planner within a main contractor environment
  • Strong pre‑construction and tender planning experience across building projects
  • Sound technical understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject or similar software
  • Strong communication skills and confidence presenting planning outputs
  • The ability to analyse complex information and produce accurate programmes to tight deadlines
