Managed Services Provider requires a Second Line Engineer

They are now looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join the team and bring their expertise, initiative, and passion for problem-solving to the forefront of our operations.

Your Role
As a Senior IT Engineer, you’ll be the go-to expert for delivering high-quality IT support and systems administration. You’ll work both remotely and on-site, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, designing tailored CCTV systems, and recommending cost-effective hardware solutions. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining servers, managing user profiles, and collaborating with third-party vendors to implement robust IT systems.

Your responsibilities will include:
Providing professional IT support to domestic and small business clients
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues via remote tools and on-site visits
Designing and installing CCTV systems based on client needs
Performing system upgrades and routine maintenance to minimise downtime
Leading junior engineers and stepping into team leadership roles when needed
Communicating with external vendors to develop and maintain IT infrastructure

What You Need to Succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
A BSc (Hons) in Computing Science or equivalent qualification
8+ years of experience in IT support and systems administration
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
Experience with CRM systems, remote support tools, and server maintenance
A proactive attitude and calm approach to technical challenges
Adaptability to new technologies and environments
A commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence
Bonus points for:Experience in e-commerce or entrepreneurial venture
Supervisory or team leadership experience Certifications such as ECDL or Microsoft HTML5
