Hays is recruiting a Software Developer for a Northern Ireland–based organisation offering hybrid working. This role is an initial 6‑month contract, with the intention to move to a permanent position for the right candidate.
The Role
You’ll join an agile engineering team, building and enhancing modern applications across frontend and backend technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing applications using React, Python, and MongoDB
- Writing clean, maintainable code and contributing to system improvements
- Collaborating with developers to solve technical problems
- Learning and adapting to new tools and technologies
Essential Skills
- Experience as a Software Developer / Engineer
- Frontend development (HTML, CSS, React)
- Backend development using Python
- Database experience (MongoDB or similar)
- Git/GitHub and Agile experience
Nice to Have
- Cloud or serverless exposure (e.g. AWS)

This role is hybrid within Northern Ireland. Interviews will take place in Belfast, and travel expenses are not provided.
