Your new company

Solihull Council are urgently looking to recruit a highly passionate and experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Children's Safeguarding & Support Teams.

Your new role

As an experienced Social Worker in children in need and court work, you will integrate one of our social work pods supported by their line manager and will be expected to focus your work on good quality assessment and dynamic planning and work alongside families and partners to deliver timely and intensive intervention to children and families in need of support. You will also work alongside partners to deliver timely evidence-based interventions both within the child protection process but also within pre-proceedings/care proceedings through to permanency planning.
Each of our teams has an experienced family support worker who will undertake direct work, and a range of practical tasks to support the families you work with.

You will be joining a hardworking and dedicated team of social workers working with some of our most vulnerable children and families. Our social workers are passionate and committed to making a difference in the lives of children, being supported as part of a Child in Need intervention, subject to a child protection plan and / or involved in care proceedings.

This role will pay up to £33.30 per hour depending on experience and a 3-month rolling contract. JD is available upon request. Driving required

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will need to have a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/B.Sc. in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW) and Social Work England registration along with at least 2 years post-qualifying Social Work experience in children and families required.
