Site Supervisor Job Available at Secondary School in Bolton

A Secondary School in Bolton is seeking a proactive and reliable Site Supervisor to ensure their school premises are safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong sense of responsibility, practical skills, and a commitment to high standards.

Location: Bolton, BL3

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Permanent, full year

Salary: £24,054 - £28,371 DOE

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site security, including opening/locking up, alarm systems, and CCTV checks.

  • Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks across the school site.

  • Monitor and manage contractors, cleaning staff, and maintenance schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire safety, and statutory building regulations.

  • Maintain heating, lighting, and water systems; conduct regular checks and record usage.

  • Support school events by setting up rooms and managing site logistics.

  • Maintain cleanliness of external areas and respond to emergency cleaning needs.

  • Manage stock of janitorial supplies and ensure toilets and facilities are well maintained.

  • Conduct regular checks for Legionella, asbestos, and PAT testing.

  • Act as keyholder and respond to out-of-hours emergencies.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in site or facilities management (preferably in a school setting).

  • Strong practical skills in maintenance, repairs, and health & safety.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

  • Good communication and organisational skills.

  • A flexible, can-do attitude and commitment to the school community
