We’re hiring a Site Manager to lead substation construction and refurbishment projects (11kV to 132kV) across the East of England. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you’ll manage site operations, ensure safety and compliance, and act as the main point of contact for the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site activities, subcontractors, and operatives
- Develop and implement Health & Safety documentation (RAMS, H&S Plans)
- Liaise with clients, attend audits, and lead progress meetings
- Manage procurement and maintain accurate site records
- Identify training needs and ensure compliance
- Compile handover documentation and as-built records
Requirements
- HNC/Degree in Construction, Civil, or Electrical Engineering
- SMSTS (CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- Experience in substation environments (up to 132kV)
- Familiarity with NEC contracts and HSE legislation
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Full UK driving licence
