Location: City of Birmingham School

City of Birmingham School is seeking a dedicated, proactive and highly capable Site Manager to oversee the management and maintenance of two of our eight campuses. This is a key role ensuring our school environments remain safe, secure, well maintained and fully operational for pupils, staff and visitors.

About the Role
The Site Manager will take a lead role in the day to day and strategic management of the school’s premises, buildings and wider estate. This includes responsibility for security, health and safety, maintenance planning, contractor oversight, environmental efficiency and ensuring that all facilities meet required statutory and school standards.

Key responsibilities include:
• Ensuring and maintaining effective site security, acting as the designated principal key holder, including responding to out of hours emergencies.
• Managing heating, lighting, ventilation and the general condition of buildings, ensuring the school environment is safe and fit for purpose.
• Coordinating and monitoring the work of external contractors and ensuring high quality maintenance and repair works.
• Supporting the School Business Manager with health and safety compliance, risk assessments, safety audits and fire safety monitoring.
• Overseeing cleaning teams, caretaking duties, goods receipt, furniture movement and general upkeep of the premises.
• Maintaining accurate records, schedules and logs relating to building management and statutory compliance.

What We Are Looking For

• Confident working independently as well as leading and supervising others
• Strong communicators with a positive, professional manner
