Site Manager – Reading – Commercial New Build Scheme
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + Car Allowance + Pension

We are partnering with a respected Hampshire‑based main contractor who, due to sustained growth and an £8 million+ commercial new build starting near Reading in the next couple of months, are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager as soon as possible.
This Site Manager – Reading opportunity will see you working on a high‑quality new build commercial scheme, reporting directly into a site‑based Project Manager. With a clear long‑term development plan in place, the successful Site Manager will be positioned for progression into a more senior role over the next few years.

This contractor delivers projects typically ranging from £1 million to £15 million across multiple sectors, including:
- Commercial
- Industrial
- Education
- Healthcare
- Residential (selected schemes)
You will be joining a structured and well‑established regional contractor operating across Hampshire, Surrey, and Berkshire, with long‑term opportunities to work on further schemes in and around Reading.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager with day‑to‑day site operations
- Oversee subcontractors, site logistics, and programme delivery
- Ensure high standards of health & safety compliance
- Deliver works on time, to specification, and to quality expectations
- Coordinate with commercial and technical teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships on site
About You
- Experienced Site Manager or strong Assistant Site Manager ready to step up
- Background in new build construction (commercial experience highly beneficial)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Proactive, dependable, and quality‑focused
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid preferred
