Your new role
Our client is currently upgrading their UK wide sites from Copper to Fiber Broadband, the responsibilities of the Network/ Telecommunications Engineer will be to use their technical expertise in Telecommunications to conduct site surveys throughout the UK to establish the best recommendations for the project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the identification and resolution of problems and conflicts that may arise during the Copper to Fiber upgrade. Initially, the role will focus on conducting the site surveys, transitioning later to more technical tasks such as switching and routing. This role includes travel to 200 UK based sites. (expenses covered)
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in telecommunications, particularly in network upgrades from Copper to Fiber.
- Strong technical skills in switching and routing.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- The ability to conduct thorough site surveys and provide actionable recommendations.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
