The Role
- Report directly to the Client Services Manager.
- Manage workflows for a small team, ensuring timely, accurate, and budget-friendly delivery of work in alignment with client commitments.
- Oversee the management, development, and coaching of junior staff.
- Maintain a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality service and expert guidance.
- Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Handle corporation and personal tax returns.
- Conduct initial file reviews for technical accuracy before managerial and director-level assessment.
- Perform analytical reviews of clients’ financial data and lead review meetings to aid their understanding.
- Promote the firm's services and identify value-added opportunities for clients.
- Manage personal daily workloads efficiently.
The Requirements
- At least four years of experience in an accountancy practice.
- Qualified AAT, ACA, ACCA, or part-qualified ACA/ACCA (or qualified by experience).
- Strong technical knowledge of current Financial Reporting Standards.
- Proven track record of delivering excellent service to clients.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Capacity to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in accounting/tax systems; experience with Xero is an advantage.
- High-level competency in Excel and IT applications.
