A large public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Service Manager – Adult Commissioning to lead and manage the adult social care commissioning function. This is an exciting opportunity to shape services that deliver high-quality, personalised care and support for adults.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee commissioning planning, market shaping, contract management, and quality assurance.
- Develop effective partnerships with stakeholders, including service users, carers, providers, and health partners.
- Ensure compliance with Care Quality Commission standards and deliver value-for-money services.
- Lead strategic development of adult social care services in line with legislation and best practice.
- Manage budgets, performance frameworks, and workforce development within commissioning teams.
About You
- Strong knowledge of social care policy, legislation, and commissioning processes.
- Proven experience in managing commissioning functions, budgets, and multi-agency partnerships.
- Skilled in leadership, change management, and strategic planning.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
