Temporary School Business Manager

Your new company

A welcoming and well-regarded primary school is seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Business Manager to join their team on a temporary basis due to Sick Leave. This is a part-time role offering 32.5 hours per week. An excellent opportunity to contribute strategically to a vibrant school community.

Safeguarding Commitment:
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and must provide two excellent references.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic planning and management of the school’s budget
Oversight of finance, HR, Health & Safety, IT, and administrative systems
Leadership of the support team, including administration staff, caretakers, and cleaners
Management of contractors and service providers

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Holds an NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification with a financial element
- Certificate of School Business Management or relevant school office experience
- Creative thinker with a child-centred approach to resource management
- Highly organised, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and IT skills
- Able to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Committed to upholding the school’s values and Christian ethos
- This role is suitable for an experienced School Business Manager or a School Administrator looking to expand their strategic responsibilities.
