Bids Manager (MEP) – Prominent Tier 1 Design & Build Contractor - Belfast

Your new role
As the Bids Manager, you will oversee the entire MEP bid process, ensuring high-quality, competitive proposals are delivered on time.
- Oversee the end-to-end bid process, ensuring all proposals are completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Liaise with senior management and other key stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment on bid strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring proposals meet their requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including estimating, procurement, and project management, to gather necessary information for bids.
- Lead negotiations with clients and subcontractors to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
- Assess and record the likely competition for each bid, developing strategies to enhance the company's competitive position.
- Ensure all bids comply with corporate and client-specific procedures and standards.
- Conduct handover meetings to brief project teams on the details of successful bids.
- Identify areas for improvement in the bid process and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
What you'll need to succeed
- 2+ years' experience in bid management in the construction or engineering sectors.
- Extensive experience of working on Design & Build projects in the UK.
- Familiarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems is a plus.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in negotiation and strategic planning.
