The FMCG organisation requires a Support Engineer.


Your Company :

A well-established FMCG company is seeking a talented IS Service Support Engineer to join their Information Systems department. This role is based in Belfast but involves supporting multiple locations across the UK and Ireland.

Your Role
As a Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and improvement of the end-user experience and desktop environment. Your duties will include:
  • Providing prompt and efficient remote support, with occasional travel to remote sites.
  • Managing and maintaining hardware and software, including deployment, patching, and updates.
  • Supporting user account management and authorisations.
  • Diagnosing and resolving computer and application faults.
  • Ensuring high availability and uptime of desktop/laptop systems.
  • Developing processes and tools to enhance support capabilities.
What You Need to Succeed :

To excel in this role, you should have:
  • Experience in IS technologies, including Windows Desktop OS, Microsoft 365, and common applications.
  • Knowledge of server technologies, such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtual servers.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and manage stressful situations effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and ownership of responsibilities.
  • A full driving licence.
