Senior support worker

URGENT START – Senior Support Worker Needed

Area: Tipton (DY4)
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off rota – 35 hours per week
Shift Hours: 07:30–14:30 & 14:30–22:00
(Must be fully flexible, including weekends)

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of the elderly with learning and physical disabilities? We’re looking for a caring, confident, and experienced Senior Support Worker to join a warm, supportive management team at one of our client's care homes. This role offers an immediate start.

About the Role

You’ll be providing high‑quality, person‑centred care within a friendly care centre environment and supporting the support workers on your shift as a manager. Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Supporting adults with learning & physical disabilities
  • Assisting with eating and drinking
  • Providing personal care, including toileting
  • Encouraging and engaging in in-house and community activities
  • Supporting with Medication Administration and Manual Handling
  • Ensuring health & safety, including acting as a competent Fire Marshal during your shift

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves hands‑on support and wants a role with real purpose.

Requirements – You MUST Have:

  • Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care minimum
  • At least 6 months' experience in a similar support role within the last 2 years
  • Up-to-date Manual Handling, Standard Care Training, Medication Administration, and Fire Marshalling knowledge/awareness
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Reliability and commitment to the full shift pattern
