Your new role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our high-end residential design and build team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will be responsible for minimising the cost of projects and enhancing value for money while achieving the required standards and quality. The role requires strong client-facing skills and the ability to manage relationships effectively.
Key responsibilities will include -Preparation of cost plans, estimates, and budgets.
Management of procurement processes, including the preparation of tender documentation.
Undertaking cost analysis and preparing interim valuations.
Advising on contractual claims and managing project risks.
Providing periodic financial reports to stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with building regulations and health and safety requirements.
Managing and mentoring junior quantity surveyors.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.MRICS or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
Proven track record in high-end residential projects.
Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills.
Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
Proficient in using industry-standard software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, etc.).
Exceptional negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
