Civil / Earthworks Specialist - Senior QS - Bristol
Your new company
Your new company is a family run business established over 60 years ago, specialising in heavy Civil, Earthworks and Quarrying. Due to the growth of the project portfolio, the company is looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee a £7.5m development. The job is located in the Dorset region. However, you will be based out of the Bristol office with travel to site once per week - flexible working is most certainly on offer.

Your new role
As part of the commercial team, you will be in charge of ensuring the financial success of the project. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- To work as a member of the team to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget to a very high standard.
- Monthly CVR reporting
- Sub contractor management of payments / accounts
- Review of commercial gains / losses available to ensure commercial success of the project
- Work closely with the site team, clients and professional consultants to understand the progress of the project
- Procurement and management of the supply chain
What you'll need to succeed
Professional Qualification
- Prior experience delivering Groundworks / Civil Engineering projects as a lead QS
- Strong procurement skills
- Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Demonstrable experience of working in and managing a team of Surveyors
