Your new role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
- Managing contracts and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Monitoring project costs and advising on financial risks and opportunities
- Leading negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior surveyors and support staff
- Collaborating closely with project managers and site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Proven experience in a senior surveying role within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
