Senior Quantity Surveyor - Permanent - Coventry - Water - Hybrid Working - Bonus - Strong Project Pipeline
Your new company
Our client, an established and high-profile organisation based in Coventry operating in the water industry, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This multi-accredited company specialises in the delivery of clean and waste infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects across the Midlands region and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are actively looking to grow their commercial team.
This is a full-time permanent position (37 hours per week, Monday – Friday) based in their Coventry office with the option for hybrid and flexible working.
Your new role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing commercial assurance of contracts
- Providing contractual advice and support to delivery teams
- Management and development of team members
- Advising and supporting the management and optimisation of budgets and spending on the portfolio of projects
- Attending site meetings
- Supporting the Commercial Manager with the resolution of claims as necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
- Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience equivalent
- Working knowledge of NEC form of contract, ideally NEC4 (Options A, C, and E)
- Knowledge of risks associated with the delivery of projects and contracts
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence.
