Main Contractor - Project Manager - Bristol

Your new company

We are partnering with a well-established contractor that delivers refurbishment solutions and new build projects across the education, health, leisure, commercial, defence and heritage sectors of the industry. They are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join the Bristol team to initially oversee an Education project.

Your new role

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and within the approved limits.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project feasibility
  • Determine and allocate necessary resources, including labour, materials, and equipment
  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet required standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with specifications.
  • Address any issues or defects promptly to maintain project quality.
  • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on-site.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering new Build / Refurbishment projects with a Main Contractor.
  • Demonstrable experience of solo managing projects above £5m.
  • Proficient in Project Management software such as Procore and MS Projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
  • Strong understanding of building products, construction details, and relevant regulations
  • Ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Degree in construction, architecture, or related field (preferred).
