Advanced Practitioner/ Senior Social Worker job (Children’s) Coventry – Children in Care Team (LAC)

Your new company

Coventry City Council are urgently looking to recruit a highly passionate and experienced Advanced Social Worker/Practitioner to join the Children in Care Team (LAC).

Your new role

The Children in Care Team (LAC) service reflects and responds to the changing needs of children and their families.
It works to enable a reflective and flexible approach, with a strong Early Help offer and a real focus on Relationship-Based Practice and Signs of Safety, which focusses on intervention and keeping families together.
You will be delivering on-the-ground social care to support families across Coventry to devise and implement care plans for children from the ages from unborn to 12 years of age. To work closely with children and families in care planning, reunification, transition planning. Some knowledge of adoption would be beneficial along with courtwork from Interim Care Order through to Foster Home. Writing court reports. Working with children who are in care, adoption, connected carers. Good written skills are essential.
You will work closely with professionals from a range of agencies, including health, education and social care services, in order to improve life experiences for children.
This role will pay up to £33.30 per hour depending on experience and a 3-month rolling contract. JD available upon request. Driving required

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will need to have a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/B.Sc. in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW) and Social Work England registration along with at least 2 years' post-qualifying Social Work experience in children and families required.
