Your new role
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take a leading role in the design and delivery of mechanical systems for a variety of building services projects. You’ll be responsible for managing design elements, mentoring junior engineers, and liaising directly with clients. The role involves working across all stages of the project lifecycle, from initial concept through to completion, and offers the opportunity to contribute to technically challenging and environmentally conscious projects.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent); HNC/HND with substantial experience will also be considered - Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation - At least 3–4 years’ experience in building services design - Proficiency in design software such as Revit, Amtech, Relux/DIALux, and Microsoft Office - Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards, and CIBSE guidelines - Excellent communication and team collaboration skills - Understanding of renewable technologies and sustainable design principles - Experience with BREEAM and HTM standards is advantageous - Ability to contribute across disciplines in meetings and design reviews
