Role Overview
You’ll play a key role in design, coordination, and technical delivery while contributing to best practice and supporting junior team members.
- Lead the design, planning, and delivery of mechanical and electrical engineering projects.
- Produce and review technical drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to support design development.
- Coordinate project activities, resources, and programme milestones.
- Prepare high‑quality documentation, reports, and technical records.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards, including RAMS.
- Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Apply and develop expertise in ASHP, GSHP, and energy‑efficient systems.
- Attend client meetings and provide technical input.
- Support continuous improvement and mentor junior colleagues.
- Perform detailed HVAC calculations (heat loss/gain, ventilation, system sizing).
- Design HVAC systems including ductwork, pipework, plant rooms, and distribution networks.
- Ensure compliance with CIBSE, Building Regulations, BS, and IET Wiring Regulations.
- Undertake mechanical and electrical load calculations (heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, distribution).
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar.
- Strong interest in building services and sustainable energy solutions.
- Excellent understanding of engineering principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (Revit desirable).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
