Your new company

A leading UK-based FMCG business based in Slough with a rich heritage is looking for an Executive Assistant to support a Sales and Marketing Director for a 12-month maternity contract. Known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer care, this organisation has built a strong reputation in the manufacturing industry. With a focus on employee wellbeing and career development, it offers a rewarding and supportive work environment. This role offers hybrid working 1 day a week in the office, but candidates still need to be within a reasonable commute to Slough.

Your new role

This is a maternity cover opportunity supporting two senior leaders within the Sales and Marketing division. As Executive Assistant and PA, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing high-level administrative tasks, coordinating executive communications, and organising large-scale events such as conferences, golf days, and monthly meetings. You’ll act as a key liaison between directors, senior leadership, internal teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless operations and top-tier support.
This is a full-time role based in Slough, with flexible hybrid working—typically one day per week in the office, with potential for less during quieter periods. The contract is set to begin mid-November and is expected to run for approximately one year.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in executive support or high-level PA roles
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professionalism, discretion, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Confidence in coordinating events and handling corporate documentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels
  • Available to start mid-November
  • Experience managing events

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive salary of £35,000–£45,000
  • Flexible working with free on-site parking
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy more
  • Matched pension contributions (up to 6% after one year)
  • Enhanced life cover and access to confidential counselling
  • Health plan with digital GP access and reimbursement for everyday medical costs
  • Discounts for high street brands, tech, travel, and entertainment
  • Early access to earned pay and optional dental/critical illness cover
