£45000 DOE plus bens. Your new company A division / site of a large national multi-site manufacturing organisation.

Your new role
This is a brand new role into the HR/L&D structure as part of the SLT of this division of a large multi-site group.

You will have responsibility for the full management, coordination, and administration of a range of learning and development activities & projects. This will be both strategic and operational from planning with Senior Leaders, to developing initatives, TNA, and standard / regulatory training and Inductions.

Reporting to the Site HR Lead/ HR Manager and Senior Leaders - with a dotted line into the Divisional Learning and Development Manager

Specifically you will:
  • Responsibility for the site L&D training budget.
  • Successfully implement and champion the site wide L&D strategy
  • Be the first point of contact for learning and development queries at site level and be responsible for ensuring all training activities are carried out in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Ensure regulatory training is delivered and maintained (covering areas such as Health & Safety, regulatory compliance, food safety, customer/retailer requirements) ensuring that we are always audit ready.
  • Deliver structured L&D programmes and competency-based frameworks for colleagues at all levels, ensuring they are provided with the technical and behavioural/soft-skills required to help them improve and open up future career opportunities
  • Delivering learning events, including inductions, carrying out learning needs and skills assessments.
  • Ensuring all L&D activities result in the ongoing development of the site and people, helping to build high performing teams, increase staff engagement, and improve retention.
  • Continue looking for new, improved ways of development / training, exploring new methodology and methods of delivery.
  • Ensuring that training records/metrics and systems are accurate, updated and maintained.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced L&D Professional, with manufacturing experience, to take on the challenge of making L&D a real focus of a “traditional culture” organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will be an experienced L&D Professional - with experience in manufacturing (ideally food or related_ and fast paced environment.
Experience of coaching and developing Senior Leaders and Operational Management.
