Audit Senior Manager - Independent Firm - Partnership opportunity - Liverpool

Your new company

This independent firm is a respected, forward‑thinking accountancy practice based in Livepool, known for its strong client relationships, technical excellence and modern, people‑centred culture. With a growing audit portfolio and a clear long‑term strategy, the firm is now looking to appoint an ambitious Audit Senior Manager who can play a key role in shaping the future of the practice. For the right individual, this is a genuine pathway to Partnership — not just in title, but in influence, leadership and ownership.

Your new role

As Audit Senior Manager, you will lead a diverse and expanding audit portfolio across a range of sectors, taking full responsibility for planning, delivery and review. You will manage and mentor a high‑performing team, drive quality and efficiency, and act as a trusted adviser to clients. You will also work closely with the Partners on strategic initiatives, business development and firm‑wide improvements, positioning yourself as a future leader within the practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, values long‑term client relationships and is ready to step into a Partner‑track position.

What you'll need to succeed

  • ACA/ACCA qualification with extensive audit experience in practice
  • Proven ability to lead complex audits from planning to completion
  • Strong people leadership skills with a passion for developing others
  • Commercial awareness and confidence in building client relationships
  • A proactive mindset, strategic thinking and the ambition to progress to Partner
  • Commitment to high‑quality work and continuous improvement

What you'll get in return

You’ll join a supportive, collaborative firm that genuinely invests in its people. Expect a competitive salary package, flexible working options, clear progression milestones and direct mentorship from the Partners. Most importantly, you’ll have a transparent, achievable route to Partnership, backed by a firm that values long‑term commitment, professional growth and shared success. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role where your impact will be visible, valued and rewarded.
