Your new role
As a Senior Manager within their Non‑Life Actuarial team, you will lead the delivery of high-impact engagements across the general insurance market, spanning retail, commercial lines, and the London Market. You will work with a wide mix of clients—from large international insurers and FTSE100 groups to specialised niche entities—supporting them across reserving, pricing, capital, transformation and risk. This role offers exceptional variety, visibility with senior industry stakeholders, and opportunities to shape market-leading actuarial propositions.

You will lead actuarial engagement teams and contribute within multidisciplinary projects, delivering high‑quality advisory work on complex assignments while building strong client relationships and a professional network. The role includes supporting business development, shaping actuarial tools and propositions, developing and coaching junior team members, and raising the team’s profile through thought leadership and industry events, with occasional travel required.

You will work across a broad mix of advisory projects, including independent reserve reviews, finance and risk transformation support, and actuarial input on mergers, acquisitions and restructuring such as Part VIIs and group capital strategy. The role also involves pricing and technical review work, capital modelling strategy development, and providing actuarial expertise to both clients and internal audit teams.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will bring experience from a non‑life actuarial function or consultancy and be a qualified actuary, or hold equivalent standing to credibly challenge peers. In this Senior Manager role, you will lead a diverse portfolio of actuarial projects, act as a role model within the team, and contribute to the growth of the service line through business and proposition development. You will also establish yourself as a subject-matter expert while building a strong internal and external network.

Candidates with experience in reserving, capital or pricing will be strongly valued, and this role offers an excellent opportunity to build on that expertise in a truly impactful way. You’ll bring confident stakeholder management skills, enabling you to influence senior decision-makers and shape meaningful outcomes for clients. This is a role where your technical strengths will be recognised, your voice will be heard, and you’ll have the platform to make a genuine difference within a high‑performing actuarial team.

What you'll get in return
They offer a highly competitive base salary ranging from £110,000 to £160,000 DOE, giving you the opportunity to be rewarded in line with your expertise and impact. This is complemented by an excellent benefits package and a modern hybrid working model that supports balance, flexibility and long‑term career satisfaction.
