Hays Senior Finance are exclusively supporting a successful retail business in Droitwich with the recruitment of a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Your new role
As Management Accountant, you will join an experienced and high-performing team which works with a number of different cost centres. You will be responsible for preparing financial reports, analysing financial data and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key duties:- Preparation and analysis of cost centres' expenditure and perform month-end duties in relation to this, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage the budget and forecasting process for your cost centres
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to sales teams and senior management on sales adjustments
- Update and maintain sales adjustments/discounts and rebates
- Analysis and forecasting of sales adjustments by customer
- Be an active business partner with internal stakeholders through the communication, reporting and controlling of expenditure
- Support the Finance Director and wider finance team with ad hoc projects and tasks
What you'll need to succeed
Newly qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - consideration will be given to part-qualified Accountants who are nearing the end of their studies
Previous track record of success in management accounting roles
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Confident self-starter with a proactive approach to work
Analytically minded with high attention to detail
Excellent communication and business partnering skills, able to work with multiple stakeholders on a regular basis
Highly competent with Excel (SumIFs, Pivot Tables, LookUps etc.) and working knowledge of ERP systems
