Your new role
In this role, you will play a central role in ensuring the organisation and its subsidiaries meet all statutory and legal financial obligations. Reporting to the Assistant Finance Director.
You will:
- Lead on the production of accurate and insightful financial and management information
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and the Annual Report
- Ensure robust financial controls are in place and operating effectively
- Act as a key liaison with internal and external auditors, banks, investment managers, and other stakeholders
- Manage and develop a small team
- Contribute to budgeting & forecasting
What you'll need to succeed
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards
- Experience preparing consolidated accounts and managing trading subsidiaries
- Proven ability to manage and develop finance staff
- Systems development experience and a proactive approach to process improvement
- High attention to detail, strong Excel skills, and a self-starting attitude
