As a Management Accountant, you will work closely with senior finance leaders to provide expert financial analysis, develop business cases, and support budget holders in achieving effective financial management. This is a dynamic role that combines strategic planning, financial reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
Your new role
- Provide financial support and advice to senior managers and budget holders.
- Lead the development of business cases and service proposals through detailed costing and analysis.
- Monitor financial performance, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Contribute to strategic planning and capital reporting.
- Assist in budget setting, monitoring, and reporting using financial systems.
- Deliver training and support to non-finance managers on budgetary control.
- Liaise with internal and external audit teams and ensure compliance with recommendations.
- Support continuous improvement in financial processes and service delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified accountant with at least 3 years’ experience in financial management.
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in budgetary control and management accounting.
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in business case development.
- Proven ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve financial outcomes.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent for financial analysis and reporting.
