Senior Finance Assistant

This is a very well-respected, not-for-profit membership organisation with a strong commitment to excellence and service. Based at the Stockton HQ, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Finance Assistant to join the friendly and dynamic Finance Department. You’ll be part of a highly skilled, self-motivated team ensuring our statutory and regulatory financial obligations are met with precision and timeliness.
Your new role
- Manage credit control and sales invoicing for the organisation and its subsidiaries.
- Access and monitor bank accounts.
- Support the Finance Assistant with:
- Matching purchase invoices
- Resolving payment queries
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Payment runs
- Spreadsheet maintenance
- Month-end reporting
- Document control (filing, photocopying, scanning)
- Handle incoming calls and resolve queries or forward messages appropriately.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, tidy, and welcoming office space.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts.- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
35 hours/week | Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:30
Flexible, hybrid working.
Holiday: 23 days annual leave + statutory holidays
