They are seeking an experienced Estimating Administrator to join the company, based in Preston.
Your new role
Your new role
- As an Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of administration to assist with the smooth running of the business.
- Working alongside estimators and the pre-construction director to support all aspects of the tender process.
- Your daily tasks will include making payments, booking appointments, handling external calls, and managing enquiries.
- Printing and plotting construction drawings and completing take-offs for estimators.
- Overseeing the development of marketing literature to send out to clients.
- Collation and input of incoming tender package documents onto the system.
- Additionally, you will balance the till and cash sheet daily, complete end-of-day procedures, and communicate with company accountants on payroll, VAT, and tax matters.
- Your role will also involve undertaking various administrative tasks to support the office’s smooth running.
What you'll need to succeed
- To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in a similar role or in a construction business.
- You should have excellent communication and organisational skills, experience in customer service, and a polite telephone manner.
- Flexibility and adaptability are key, along with the ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative.
- Strong office and administrative skills are essential.
