A leading infrastructure contractor with a strong presence in the water sector is seeking a Civil Estimator to join their growing commercial team. Your new role

As Civil Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction phase of water infrastructure projects. You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil engineering works, including pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, and treatment facilities. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and the commercial team, you will ensure bids are commercially viable and aligned with client requirements.

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates for civil works in the water sector
  • Reviewing tender documents and identifying risks and opportunities
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
  • Supporting bid submissions and attending client meetings
  • Maintaining and updating estimating databases and tools

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as an Estimator within civil engineering, ideally in the water sector
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and infrastructure pricing
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
