Our Antrim-based client is a specialist manufacturer with multiple sites across the UK.

Your New Role

This role will require a highly skilled experienced maintenance engineer with a strong Electrical and mechanical background who is capable of undertaking various planned, reactive and proactive maintenance tasks supporting the overall function of machinery/equipment identifying faults and solutions alike. This is a fast-paced production environment and the individual must be conversant with machine maintenance and repair.

Whilst on shift, your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Perform maintenance and support tasks on high speed automated equipment • Willing to engage with a changing work environment which will involve shift work • Maintain and support automated and conveying systems • Maintain and support production electronic/electrical systems • Working as part of a team and supporting production and operations • Worked in a high volume manufacturing environment • Implement solutions to help improve machine reliability and quality issues.

What You'll Need To Succeed

In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:

Working with and having an in-depth knowledge and experience of Electrical, Mechanical, pneumatics and program knowledge essential • Knowledge of CNC and PC controlled systems would be desirable • Knowledge of PLC controlled systems and their energised components • Team working and flexibility with an open attitude • Capable of effective prioritisation of tasks and personal time management.

Able to work unsupervised and prioritise their own time and activities • Have strong Electrical fault-finding skills supporting fast and effective problem-solving • Able to demonstrate a proven ability in troubleshooting and recovering equipment in a dynamic environment
• Experience in installation and commissioning of new equipment.

Essential Criteria:

Timed served Electrical/Mechanical Engineer • A minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience within a manufacturing environment.

What You'll Get In Return

Roles are available on days or on shifts. If working on days, the pattern consists of 8-hour shifts across Monday - Friday. If working on shifts, the rota features a combination of days and evenings, requiring only 10 shifts to be worked every 21 days. The starting hourly rate is £18, this is supplemented with a 15% shift premium if working within the shift rota. Overtime is also paid at time and a half.
