The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to play a key role in a thriving consultancy. Based in their new city centre office, you’ll contribute to high-impact projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help shape the future of sustainable building design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and consultancy work, including system design, specifications, schedules, and client reporting.
- Represent the business in client and design team meetings, both internally and externally.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, supporting consultants to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to project planning and workload management.
- Ensure quality and compliance with ISO standards, CDM legislation, and internal audit processes.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and contribute to continuous improvement in design standards.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Building Services discipline is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in building services consultancy.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit.
- Strong technical drawing skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, ambitious, and collaborative team player.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence
