Hays Engineering are currently recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer to join our clients team on a Full-Time, Permanent basis. To support the design and production of commercial vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently in a lead design engineer role, looking to join a progressive and ambitious organisation

Your new role

• Managing design projects from concept to completion, working first hand with customers to develop bespoke solutions to meet their needs
• Supporting and mentoring design team members with any queries or issues
• Analysing current design processes and procedures and implementing improvements
• Developing work instructions and operating procedures to support production processes
• Investigating Engineering problems and implementing solutions and corrective actions
• Encouraging continuous improvement culture, identifying potential improvements in design, processes and manufacturing techniques
• Ensuring all designs adhere to VCA standards
• Creating and managing BOMs, PDMs etc.

What you'll need to succeed

• Competitive Salary (£40,000 - £50,000)
• 30 Days holiday (rising to 33 after service)
